I was lucky enough to kick off the summer with a month long trip to Europe and now I am sharing with you exactly how I packed for a month away.
For starters this year I made the switch to a medium size checked suitcase! Sometimes a large checked suitcase is just too much to lug around when traveling for a long period of time and the medium size felt much more manageable!
Now on to packing! One thing I’ve learned from traveling over the years is that I gravitate to the same clothes I would wear at home! You know what that means? I just stick to the basics!
Here are the clothes I packed
– 5 t-shirts (2 white, 2 black, 1 neutral)
– 3 tank tops (1 white, 1 black, 1 grey)
– 3 button downs
– 2 jeans
– 2 maxi skirts
– 1 pair linen pants
– 1 cardigan
– 1 light jacket
– 2 leggings
– 2 workout tops
– 2 sports bras
– 2 swimsuits
– 4 dresses
– 3 sandals
– 1 sneaker
– 1 tennis shoe
Here are a few other things I am bringing
– my @hestoutdoors medium camp pillow – this is probably one of my favorite travel purchases of all time! It’s all about the little things that make your travels more comfortable and sleeping on bad pillow can really set you back!
– travel blanket – I have a small one I got on Amazon. I’m super picky about fabrics against my skin and I always cover the top of the sheet they don’t touch me!
– my @mykitsch satin pillowcase because duh!
– european extension cord – this has made traveling so much easier! It can be difficult to time your charging when abroad but this allows you to charge just like you would at home!
– @blueland laundry tablets so I can use non-toxic detergent even while traveling!
Now I know what you are thinking, did you end up wearing everything & did you feel like you were missing anything? Well, the answer is I wore everything but 1 of the maxi skirts and 2 of the button downs. I actually ended up sending those items back with my parents halfway through my trip.
I did end up purchasing a few items while on my trip that I wore throughout. I got a new white midi skirt, a second paid of linen pants and two cardigans (neutral and blue) and one black maxi dress. I ended up wearing almost all of these items on my trip as well!
