Finding My Center Through Pilates
A few years back, I found myself off track with my fitness routine. I missed the feeling of moving my body regularly and knew it was time to get back into the groove. Pilates had always been a workout I enjoyed, so I decided to jump back in!
Pilates is a perfect fit for me – it’s low impact and easy to ease back into movement. After a few classes a week for a year,I felt a transformation. Pilates wasn’t just about exercise; it addressed old aches and pains – my neck, back, and even my wrists felt so much better! I gained confidence and strength I hadn’t realized I was missing.
Loving the positive impact Pilates has had on my life, I decided to pursue teaching. Now, I share my passion a few days a week and hope to expand my teaching in the future.
Why the big diet shift
This year, I decided to take a deep dive into my well-being. I felt ready to tackle some lingering health issues and found a fantastic naturopath in my area. We talked about everything from childhood anxiety to ongoing tummy troubles and even an itchy scalp.
To get a clearer picture, we did intolerance testing and a comprehensive blood panel. The results were a turning point! It turns out I had sensitivities to many foods I regularly ate. No wonder I wasn’t feeling my best!
