Eating healthy can be daunting, that’s why I am sharing my pantry essentials that make eating healthy easier. These are the 10 items I always keep in my pantry that can be used anytime for quick, easy and healthy meals.
- High Quality Gluten Free Oat | My favorite is the One Degree Organic Foods, Sprouted Rolled Oats. You can find this at Costco and on Thrive!
- High Quality Olive Oil | My favorite is Graza. I love the taste and the convenience of the squeeze bottle.
- Flakey Sea Salt | I have been loving the Jacobsen Pure Flake Sea Salt. I use this to finish off steak and top off my favorite desserts.
- A Good Nut Butter | I love the CB’s Nuts Organic One Ingredient Peanut Butter. This is great for smoothies, on toast or even with a date for dessert.
- Taco Seasoning | There is nothing more convenient that being able to make a quick batch of tacos when you are in a rush. We always keep the Siete Mild Taco Seasoning on hand because it has super clean ingredients.
- Beans | I always keep organic black beans and organic chickpeas on hand because you never know when you may need to add some additional protein to a meal.
- Nutritional Yeast | We love to make dressing and almost every recipe we use involves nutritional yeast. Because of that, I always keep some on hand so that I can quickly pull a healthy dressing together! You can find nutritional yeast at Trader Joes or in the baking isle of most grocery stores.
- Raw Nuts | These are not only a great source of protein but they can be used to top salads, thicken dressings, make marinades, etc. We typically gravitate to raw cashews and walnuts.
- Vinegar | You can always make a vinaigrette if you have vinegar on hand. We always have rice wine vinegar in the pantry because it is very mild and can be added easily to our very favorite green goddess dressing.
- Quinoa | I am absolutely obsessed with quinoa. If you didn’t know quinoa is a full protein which makes it an amazing option when you are looking to increase protein but are wanting something similar to rice. Quinoa can be easily added to salads, it can be a side or you can use it as a base to a bowl!
